A cosmetic or dermatological composition comprises extracts of cola seeds substantially free of methylxanthines, or hydrated lipid lamallar phases or liposomes containing total or partial extracts of cola seeds, the weight of the extract being from 0.01 to 10 % of the total weight of the composition. The composition has a slimming or anti-cellulitic action.
