PROCESS FOR CONTROLLING THE DWELL PRESSURE PHASE DURING INJECTION MOULDING OF THERMOPLASTICS

In a process for controlling the injection moulding process for manufacturing thermoplastic mouldings which terminates with an isochoric cooling phase, an essentially isobaric dwell pressure phase is provided between the isochoric cooling phase and the compression phase until an isochor is reached and the duration of the isobaric dwell pressure tNiso and/or the isobaric dwell pressure pN is controlled in function of characteristic data fields which are measured in at least one learning cycle and which contain the dependency of one or more measured moulding target parameters on several processing parameters.
