A snow grid comprises a wood lath (2) supported by beams (3) anchored by tension on the surface (1) of a slope by means of tie rods (10). The uprights (4) for supporting the beams (3) are pivoted therewith by horizontal bolts (5). Timbering a diagonal reinforcement (6) serves to absorb transverse forces. The timber (2) forming the lattice do not extend laterally beyond the beams (3), so that it is possible to connect without problems adjacent snow fences to form a continuous structure.
