For producing molded parts for screening of electromagnetic radiation ideal metal fiber-containing composite materials are suitable, as are obtained by impregnating a bundle of continuous metal fibers with a polymeric adhesion-promoting substance sheath of the thus obtained compact precursor with a thermoplastic matrix and cutting the resulting composite strand into defined lengths.; The composites can be used as such or together with thermoplastic granules.
