Insecticide to control a pest of the genera Homoptera and Thysanoptera

The insecticide for controlling pests of the genera Homoptera and Thysanoptera and, in particular, of aphids and thrips contains 80 to 95% by weight of a mixture of normal paraffins with a length of the carbon chain of C10-20, 20 to 5% by weight of surface-active substances and, where appropriate, solvents. The insecticide is suitable for spraying tobacco, cotton, sugarbeet, potatoes, vegetables, fruit crops and other crops which are attacked. The insecticide is used as emulsion concentrate after emulsification in water.
