Process for the production of an identity card, and an identity card produced by this process

A self-adhesive plastic sheet (2) is stuck onto a plastic base (1) having the dimensions of a credit card and printed with a pattern (11). Before sticking on, the said plastic sheet (82) is inscribed with the personal details of the card owner by means of a typewriter, by hand or by a continuous process. During sticking-on, a photograph (3) is arranged between the plastic base (1) and the sheet (2). This identity card can be produced very easily and without mechanical aids. IMAGE
