Use of alpha -tocopherol nicotinate, benzyl nicotinate, xanthinol nicotinate or hexyl nicotinate, or of alpha -tocopherol acetate, or of a mixture of these, as a lipolytic substance, or as lipolytic substances, for the preparation of a pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition having a slimming action. The composition is intended to counteract cellulitis and localised fatty overweight, the said composition being free from any other lipolytic substance having a caffeine-like activity.
