PROCESS FOR OBTAINING INTACT FERTILE ARABIDOPSIS PLANTS FROM PROTOPLASTS

According to a regeneration process is cultivated new arabidopsis plants from isolated protoplasts of differentiated tissues, undifferentiated tissue and various organs of Arabidopsis plants, incorporated into a polymeric matrix and finally cultured in the dark, under a continuous illumination and during a photoperiod. This method is applied to obtain new Arabidopsis mutants and their genetic complements. The genetic material is directly transmitted to plant cells by common incubating the DNA to and Arabidopsis protoplasts in suitable incubation media.
