METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SLAMESE TYPE ZYLINDER BLOCK AND APPARATUS FOR CASTING BLANK FOR SUCH ZYLINDER BLOCK

A rough cast for a dual type cylinder block has a cast iron lining moulded by pressure casting into each cylinder body of a series so that each lining presents an oral cross-section with the longer axis parallel to the direction of the sequence of the cylinder bodies in consequence of the boxing of the shrinkage force during solidification of each cylindr body. An apparatus is also claimed for the moulding of this rough-cast. A rough-cast of the dual type cylinder blocks is produced, thus fabricating a dual type cylinder body in which the amount of dilation of each lining is uniform with respect to its circumference during the operation of the motor.
