Platinum complexes and anticancer agents containing the active ingredient

Novel platinum complexes of the formula: CHEM wherein R1 and R2 are identical or different lower alkyl groups, or R1 and R2 taken together form a -(CH2)m- bridge, and m is an integer from 2 to 5, and antitumor agents comprising the compounds (I) are disclosed, which are effective against cisplatin-resistant ascitic murine leukemia, murine leukemia, and solid tumors with only slight hemotoxicity and nephrotoxicity.
