The knee-joint support has two contact portions detachable from the limbs either side of the joint and clear of it, each fixed to an arm. The arms are hinged together at the other end on an axial pin coinciding with that of the joint. Also fixed to the contact portions are rigid brackets, hinged together on a second axial pin coinciding with the joint axis and on the opposite side to the first one. Straps hold the support to the limbs. - The contact portions (12,14) are plates shaped to fit against the respective limbs, and are both on the same side of a plane passing through the joint axis at right angles to the latter. An additional contact portion (40) is applied to the joint on the opposite side. The brackets (32,34) pass round both limbs to the opposite side, where they are joined to this portion and to the second axel pin (46). PS(1)
