The method and the device improve the angular resolution of monopulse radars. A signal DELTA theta is initially calculated, in a computing arrangement (201), from the sum signal S, the direction signal theta b and the quadrature angular offset signal epsilon q. Two measurement signals theta A and theta B for the direction of the extreme limits of the target are furthermore calculated in a computing arrangement (202).
