Adjustment device for a timing mechanism of the lever escapement type, the said mechanism comprising an escape wheel (12) turned by a rotation movement and composed of teeth (17), an escape lever (13) carrying two pallets (18, 19) and oscillating around an axis (14) in such a way that the said pallets bear alternately on one of the teeth, and a lever spring (5) formed from a blade, one end of which is fixed rigidly in the lever, the other end (7) being housed inside an aperture (3), the device being characterized in that it comprises a primary means (1, 2) of adjusting the position of the said aperture in a direction roughly orthogonal (20) to that of the axis of the blade, in order to adjust the movement of the lever pallets in relation to the wheel.
