The invention relates to a finisher, in particular for large working widths and high placing capacities for asphalt and concrete road construction. Although known bituminous finishers can also produce concrete pavings by attaching a concrete-placing board, the maximum placing width of such finishers is limited to 3.75 m. The new finisher, while permitting a large, variable placing width, is to enable the material feed to be increased, the distributing work to be reduced and the throughput of large quantities of mix to be guaranteed. Furthermore, it is to be suitable both for the placing of bituminous pavings and concrete pavings, without significant additional attachments. This aim is achieved in that the running gear (14) is provided in the region of the edges of the placing width, and behind a distributing worm (36) there is arranged a metering edge (48) which can be adjusted by the levelling control means.
