In order to rescue people who use flying equipment such as parachutes, paragliders or controllable parachutes and are crashing, a type of hose is fitted to the outside of the flying equipment and is connected by means of hoses to a compressed-air gas cartridge. When it is opened, the controllable compressed-air gas container supplies the circumferential hose with compressed air or a gas mixture. The circumferential hose is in consequence stiffened to form a solid ring and thus automatically extends the flying equipment. A change in flight or fall braking can be achieved by partial filling.
