The pneumatic adjusting device for sensors (24) for the non-destructive testing of elongated test pieces (30) having a holding part (20) lying on the test piece (30) with a prescribed force, having a trough (26) which carries sensors (24) and is connected with an adjusting frame (36) by means of a bellows cylinder (23) filled with air at low pressure. The bellows cylinder (2) is connected via a connecting conduit (42) with a balancing unit (44) which has a cylinder (46) and a piston (48) which can be moved in the latter. This piston (48) is connected to the piston (52) of a high pressure unit, whose piston (52) has a distinctly smaller surface than the piston (48) of the compensating unit (44) and whose cylinder space is connected to a pressure control valve (60).
