The method consists in feeding the moulding sand into the column formation zone, its forming, isolating the moulding sand column formation zone from the outside atmosphere, feeding compressed air and in its interaction with the sand column, so as to provide for displacement of the sand column towards the formation zone and for compacting the moulding sand in the formation zone under the influence of the kinetic energy of the moulding sand flow and as a result of the air escape from the formation zone to the outside atmosphere. The feeding of the moulding sand to the column formation zone is effected by means of the compressed air, the pressure of which is lower than that of the air fed to the formation zone. The means for feeding the moulding sand consists of a hollow casing (9) mounted on a spherical casing (4) of the device for making the casting mould or core and provided with a reducing valve (10). A socket (11) connected to the hollow casing (9) is mounted along the longitudinal axis of the latter. One end of that socket (11) is connected to the internal cavity of an air-permeable envelope (5) and the other to the source of the air-sand mix.
