A secondary seal for floating-roof tanks with a sealing element which has an outer peripheral layer of foamed material on a contact sheet designed as a V-angle and is supported relative to the floating roof by leaf springs attached to the contact sheet, the sealing element being enclosed all around its outer side by a film, and a covering sealing apron being provided between the sealing element and the floating roof, is characterised in that a separate wear wrapping is attached to the leaf springs all around the circumference of the sealing element.
