Starting from the situation that, under reactor operating conditions, with increasing plasma confinement time, a progressively increasing thermal effectiveness passes from the heated plasma onto the magnetic field confining the plasma, which effectiveness, in terms of its relationship with its feedback effect on the plasma, cannot be measured and is not theoretically definable and is recorded as a matter of routine as plasma decay without its cause being detected, the present application demonstrates the technical preconditions under which, by using two electromagnetic alternating fields to be superimposed, the time span increases during which nuclear fusion returns into the region of being realisable.
