For producing a dental prosthesis from an anchorage part (2) on the residual teeth and a dental prosthesis part (3) held thereon via a releasable connection device such as attachments, a connector (1) which is prefabricated with retentions (5) for the unreleasable connection with the anchorage part (2) and with exactly fitting surfaces (1, 2) for the releasable connection to the dental prosthesis part (3) and which does not enter any material connection with the material of the anchorage part (2) and of the dental prosthesis part (3) is positioned on a working model representing the situation in the jaw. The anchorage part (2) and the dental prosthesis part (3) are then modelled onto the connector (1) on the working model from a modelling compound that can be combusted without residues. This model is used to prepare a casting mould, and the connector (1) is fixed directly in the embedding composition of the casting mould.
