An inductance (10) is connected in series to the inductive lamp (4), which is connected in parallel to a current dependent variable resistance (11) (cold conductor). A capacitance (13) is connected in series tothe capacitive lamp (3), to which is connected in parallel a current dependent variable resistance (12) (cold conductor), which following the ignition of the lamps regulate the power downwards to specified values and the function of the regulation only results due to a mains voltages in series. The inductance (10) and the capacitance (13) have a common potential input (18). The capacitance and inductance respectively have their own outputs (16,17). USE/ADVANTAGE - Low pressure discharge lamps. Power is held constant to prevent burn out of lamp starter due to current rise with increased risk due to voltage range in common market.
