The rocker operated switch has a box shaped housing in which the switch mechanism is located together with a light bulb (32). The bulb is located directly beneath the rocker (16) at the end that has a clear glass panel (17) marked with a general symbol indicating location and a function symbol. With the switch in the off state the bulb output is prevented from illuminating the function symbol by the surfaces (27,28) of a projector. Only the general location symbol is illuminated. Actuation of the switch causes both symbols to be illuminated. ADVANTAGE - Provides single light source location and function symbols.
