A numerical control program contains parameterisable distance information and further operationally relevant information. A controller batch offset register accumulates the movement locations resulting from an offset from the program start to the desired program branch point for the individual axes. The tool or robot is started immediately following the offset by clearing the register. It is advanced by a distance corresp. to the branch point instruction. USE/ADVANTAGE - For operating machine tool or robot according to use-specific program and using numerical controller, enabling absolute positioning to batch end point computed during offset motion.
