A window frame, and partic. one in plastics for cellar windows, can be used as a fixed frame to take a grill. The frame surrounds and overlaps the rim of a flat grill; the inner edge of the frame has a number of projecting wedge-like members overlapping the grill and these fit into slots parallel to the grill in the frame; if the grill is not used these wedges can be taken out. The wedge-elements are pref. made of CRP. ADVANTAGE - The frame enables a grill to be fitted in a simple manner.
