The tensioning device holds the spindle of a tool (1). It comprises a pusher (5) which moves in the axial direction (4) and also tangentially in a rotary movement to activate a draw bolt (3). The pusher (5) and the draw bolt (3) both operate in the hollow void of the spindle (1). A fixed stop (6) is profiled along its underside with a cut out notch (11) in which the profiled claws (15.1) attached to the draw bolt (3) can engage as a locking device. The movement of the pusher and draw bolt works under spring generated force. USE/ADVANTAGE - The device is reduced in size but has increased rigidity and strength.
