Circular knitter needle selector - has selection movement towards the curve of the needle cylinder for high working speeds

In the needle selection mechanism of a circular knitter, the moving components to operate the push rods are mounted to move towards the curve of the needle cylinder. The moving components are fitted to a grooved ring which is coupled to the needle cylinder through a kinematic cogwheel gearing so that the rotary speed of the ring is less, on its axis which similar to that of the needle cylinder. Selectors are fitted in the radial grooves to slide in the ring, with the selection units at their outer ends on the ring, and their opposite ends have butts at a rate of one butt for each selector. A sliding pressure cam is provided for each selector butt at the ring, in a vertical stack, and the selector butts of the push rods lie on a diagonal.
