The floor is constructed from square panels which are supported on a grid of beams. Each beam is supported at the intersection points on pillars. Each beam (10) is made from sheet metal which is folded to form a hollow square section with a longitudinal slot in the upper surface. One end of each beam (10) has a lug (13) projecting from its lower surface and hooks (12) form in its side walls. The other end of each beam has hooks (14) in its side walls and the upper surface cut back to the line of the hook. These hooks (12, 14) enable beams running at right angles to be interlocked with each other to form the floor support grid. USE - Floor supports.
