The parking cart is designed to actuate a parking panel and is in the form of a flat plastics body-piece (1) with two opposite facing plane sides (2,3) and an electronics module (4) inserted between these sides in order to store data, such as car-park and user identity, as well as entry and exit times. On the front face of the card are provided a digital time read-out (5) and a radio transmitter (6), operated by finger pressure, and uniformly spaced apart from one another. The transmitter (6) can be provided with a code, such that each individual user has a personal code, in order to enable an alrm to be triggered as electronic pulses which are received at various sites on the parking area and then relayed instantly to a security centre or control room.
