The atmospheric gas burner has a combustion chamber supplied with gas and primary air forming a mixture, and with flame outlets at the top. Secondary combustion air flows to the flames from underneath. A guide wall (6) extending for the length of the chamber (2) divides up the secondary air current (5). This wall can be arranged to extend below the chamber, having outlet ports (7) at intervals along it for the secondary air current flowing in below it from one chamber end.
