Dry pigment toner for oil or water based flexographic printing inks - comprising alkali blue pigment, surface active acid phosphoric acid ester(s) of fatty alcohol(s) and dehydro:abietyl:amide

A dry toner comprising, w.r.t. total (a)+(b)+(c), (a) 60-98 wt.% Alkali Blue pigment, (b) 1-20 wt.% of at least one surface active cpd. chosen from acid phosphoric acid esters of 8-18C fatty alcohols or their ethylene oxide adducts and (c) 1-20 wt.% dehydro-abiethylamine. Pref. the toner contains 4-6 wt.% (b) and 4-6 wt.% (c). Component (b) is pref. an acid phosphoric acid ester of 10-14C alkanols or adducts of 2-5 mols. ethylene oxide to 1 mol. of these alkanols; or mixts. of these esters. USE/ADVANTAGE - The toners are useful pigments having good dispersibility in oil- and water-based flexographic printing inks, and give prints with high colour strength and soft texture in comparison to prior art toners.
