The gas sealing system for a multi-sectioned housing structure where one area of the sections contains a metal flange with a smooth surface to be brought into a metal to metal gas sealing contact with another flange of another section has a first control device with a groove (19) in one of the flanges (11,12) with the same length as the length of the flange and across the direction of the gas leakage between the flanges. A sealing structure (20) in the groove (19) forms a gas channel (26) with similar expansion as the flange wherein the gas channel leads to an area with lower gas pressure so that under higher pressure leaking gas from the housing structure is taken up by the groove (19) and directed to an area with lower pressure in the housing structure. A further control member has a sealing part (24) in the sealing structure in the groove (19) to be compressed in the groove when the flanges meet in a metal-metal contact.
