Oil resistant hose - has protective layer sprayed or extruded on EPDM core and cover

A hose (1) with or without a reinforcing ply (4) is made of a core (2) of EPDM and a cover (3) of EPDM. A protective layer (5) of oil-resistant material is sprayed or extruded on it. This protective layer can be made of ECO, CM or CSM and does not form an adhesive bond to EPDM. Its thickness should be 0.5-1.5 mm. ADVANTAGE - In addition to ozone-, water- and antifreeze-resistance the protective layer makes this hose oil-resistant.
