Circular saw blade tooth - has negative-rake outer chip face and positive rake inner one

The circular-saw blade comprises a disc with central axis through which radial lines are defined. Teeth along the periphery have cutter inserts at their tips. Each insert (2) has a first chip face (3) at its radial outer portion and with a negative rake angle to the radial line (b). A second face (5) is situated further inwards and between the first one and a third innermost one (4). The latter has positive rake angle to the radial line (b). ADVANTAGE - Long life and greater resistance to breakage.
