The hand-held power driven drill has a handle with one outer surface parallel to the drill axis and a second outer surface (2) which is at right angles to the drill axis. The first outer surface is fitted with a small spirit level (4) and enables the user to hold the drill accurately in the horizontal position. The end surface (2) has a second spirit level (6) and enables the user to hold the drill accurately in the vertical position.
