Gas absorption tower to absorb one or several specific components of a gas comprising: a prim. absorption section which absorbs certain components, which is located in a lower position inside tower and a secondary absorption section absorbing certain components and which is located in a higher position within tower. The prim. absorption section comprises: an inner cylinder whose upper part connects to the secondary absorption section and having a closed lower portion to form a container contg. the absorption medium which drops from the secondary absorption section. A gas passage is formed by the inner cylinder and the wall surface of tower, c) A gas inlet opening is formed in the sidewall of an inner cylinder. There are nozzles to spray an absorbing fluid, whereby the nozzles are arranged along the gas flow path in a gas passage. -
