Appts. for welding a plastic tube to a plastic moulding has two locking devices which can be moved along slides to hold the tube or mouldings, and a heater which can be swung round into position between the two devices. Device(s) has a replaceable support for the mouldings, the contour of this support being at least part of moulding(s). ADVANTAGE - System enables widely different mouldings to be positioned perfectly (also axially) without being deformed by the locking devices.
