The invention relates to a method for the insertion of very long prefabricated posts in the ground in which there is inserted in the bore a first element which comprises at its upper part longitudinal orifices intended for receiving the ends of the reinforcements 2 of a second element. The upper part of the first element is held above the upper end of the bore; a mortar is disposed in the longitudinal orifices of the top part of the first element and on its upper face. The second element is placed above the first element, the said second element 11 comprising longitudinal reinforcements 2 which protrude downwards and which are engaged in the longitudinal orifices of the first element by means of temporary connection devices; the two post elements 1, 11 are firmly connected to each other after having waited for the mortar to set; the temporary connection devices are removed and the two post elements 1, 11 thus joined together are engaged in the bore which must receive them and the space between the post and the wall of the bore is filled.
