EXTRACTION DUCT FOR THE DISPOSAL OF EXHAUST GASES IN A VEHICLE TRACK,PARTICULARLY A TUNNEL

An extraction duct 7 for the disposal of exhaust gases in the driving section of a tunnel, has the exhaust gases from a vehicle 2 conducted to it via a transfer pipe 12 having a shuttle-shaped cross-section. The transfer pipe slides through a pair of sealing lips which seal a longitudinal channel on the underside of the extraction duct. To reduce the frictional force between the sealing lips and transfer pipe, the sealing lips have a non-rigid and flexible design. The ends of the sealing lips may be held together magnetically by embedded magnetic strips. Alternatively, the sealing lips are designed in the contact area in the form of a hollow section which has sufficient dimensional stability to span the longitudinal channel, but which can be easily compressed by the transfer pipe sliding through the lips.
