Gas-phase process for the production of bromochloromethane and dlbromomethane

Methylene chloride and HBr are reacted in the gas-phase, in the presence of a catalyst, to produce chlorobromomethane and dibromomethane. The process uses a combination of HBr/methylene chloride molar ratios and space velocities to obtain the desired product composition.
