CORROSION-RESISTANT ALLOY FOR NONFERROUS HOT DIP METAL AND ROLL FOR THE ABOVE HOT DIP METAL COATING

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the alloy with high hardness and to improve its wear resistance at the time of applying it to a roll for nonferrous hot dip metal coating by specifying the content of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr and Mo and the amt. of austenite in a high alloy steel. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of the alloy is regulated to the one of a high alloy steel contg., by weight, 0.35 to 1.5% C, 0.7 to 2.5% Si, 0.6 to 3% Mn, 0.6 to 3% Ni, 2 to 19% Cr and 2 to 4% Mo and in which the amt. of austenite is regulated to 10 to 60%. If required, at least one kind among =3% W, =3% V, =1.5% Zr, =6% Co, =0.05% B and =1.5% Al is furthermore incorporated thereto. The high alloy steel has high hardness and excellent in corrosion resistance and resistance to roughening on the surface. By using the high alloy steel, a roll for nonferrous hot dip metal coating is formed. Moreover, the high alloy steel is compounded into the surface of the core material of the above roll, by which a composite roll can be formed.
