PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the change in quantity of heat of a sample and an infrared-ray spectrum at the same time with respect to the sample whose molecular structure and crystal structure are changed with temperature change by providing a BaF2 window plate for transmitting infrared rays by a reflecting method. CONSTITUTION:A detecting part 4 of a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) is provided on a sample stage 6 of an infrared-ray microscope 1. A window plate 9 comprising BaF2 which is an infrared-ray-spectrum transmitting material is provided at the upper part of the sample cup of the sample cell part of the DSC in order to transmit infrared rays by a reflecting method. The DSC detecting part 4 is provided so that the light axis of the infrared-ray microscope 1 is aligned with the center of a sample cell 8 comprising aluminum on the side of the sample. The sample cell 8 wherein powder sample is inputted and a reference cell 7 wherein a reference material is inputted are mounted on a thermocouple plate 12. A furnace is capped with the window plate 9 having an air hole 11, and DSC measurement is started. The measurement of the infrared spectrums can be continuously performed at the same time as the starting of the DSC measurement or can be performed at any time in an arbitrary temperature region.
