EVALUATION SYSTEM FOR PARTS COST REDUCTION

PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately grasp the reduction of the parts cost by applying an EDP system to process the total necessary number of each parts calculated for each device and the scheduled production amount. CONSTITUTION:A punched parameter 1 includes the parts having its cost to be reduced, the costs calculated before and after improvement, and a retrieving period. Then the parameter 1 is inputted via a reading device 2. A CPU 3 uses the subject parts as a key to retrieve a parts constitution information file 4 for extraction of the codes (highest levels) and the necessary number of parts for all devices that use the subject parts. Then the CPU 3 extracts the scheduled production amounts of these devices within the retrieving period out of a production schedule information file 5 and calculates the cost reduction amount. Based on this calculation result, a total list 7 (incl. a production schedule information list and a parts necessary number list) is outputted from a printer 6. Thus it is possible to obtain a calculation system where the cost reduction is quickly and accurately grasped.
