PURPOSE:To execute the data input of an interactive editing macro program of a numerical controller for converting to HIRAGANA [cursive KANA (Japanese syllabary) character], KANJI (Chinese character), etc., and displaying them by displaying a list of HIRAGANA and KANJI corresponding to specific characters of the Japanese syllabary in which a cursor is positioned, on a screen, and selecting them and inputting the data. CONSTITUTION:In a data input method of an interactive editing macro program, at the time of editing the interactive editing macro program, the Japanese syllabary is displayed on a screen by depressing a first soft key (for instance, a code list key). Also, after moving a cursor, by depressing a second soft key (for instance, a list key), a list of HIRAGANA and KANJI corresponding to characters of the Japanese syllabary in which the cursor is positioned is displayed, and the HIRAGANA or KANJI concerned is selected and inputted. In such a way, an error caused by use of an internal code does not occur and a program is understood exactly, and also, the internal code can be inputted without looking at a manual.
