PURPOSE:To obtain images which are low in fogging and have a high sensitivity and high contrast by incorporating benzyloxy alcohols and hydrazine compd. into the above photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material contains the benzyloxy alcohol and the hydrazine compd. The preferable benzyloxy alcohols are expressed by formula I. In the formula I, X denote an alkyl group, alkoxy group, etc.; R denotes an alkylene group; n denotes 1 to 4 integer. The hydrazine compd. is exemplified by the compd. expressed by formula R1NHNHCHO or R1 NHNHCOR2. In the formula, R1 and R2 are respectively groups, such as pyridyl group and quinoryl group, which groups may be substd. with groups, such as aryl group, alkyl group and substd. ureide group. Thus, the sensitivity and contrast are improved and the high-quality dots are obtd. regardless of the sizes of the dot areas in the dot formation.
