PURPOSE:To obtain an antiphlogistic and analgesic patch having excellent durability of medicinal effects and low irritation to the skin, comprising 4- biphenylyl acetic acid as an active ingredient and crotamiton as an absorption auxiliary. CONSTITUTION:A base component obtained by neutralizing a polyacrylic acid and/or a polyacrylic acid copolymer with a water soluble organic amine into pH6-8 is blended with 0.1-5wt.% 4-biphenylyl acetic acid and 0.01-5wt.% crotamiton. The blend is properly mixed with a conventional humectant, a thickening agent, a preservative, etc., as other components, prepared and spread to a sheetlike substrate such as cloth or paper to give the objective substance. The polyacrylic acid and/or polyacrylic acid copolymer is used as a thickening a gent, can stably dissolve 4-biphenylyl acetic acid and will not precipitate as crystal.
