PURPOSE:To obtain a composition suitable as leg base for musical instruments and audio-visual devices, having high specific rigidity, excellent tone quality characteristics and excellent moldability, comprising a filler composed of reinforcing fibers and/or inorganic particles and the rest consisting mainly of thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition suitable as leg base for musical instruments and audio-visual devices, having =100,000(kg/cm2) (g/cm3) specific rigidity, comprising (A) reinforcing fibers and/or inorganic particles as a filler, preferably carbon fibers and/or mica, wherein when the carbon fibers are used, the filler is composed of 10-60wt.% carbon fibers and 20-70wt.% other reinforcing fibers and inorganic particles and the total amounts of the filler are 30-70wt.% and when the mica is used, the filler is composed of 30-70wt.% mica and 10-50wt.% other reinforcing fibers and inorganic particles and the total amounts of the filler are 40-80wt.% and (B) the rest consisting mainly of thermoplastic resin.
