MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR GEOLOGICAL TIME BY ZIRCONIUM COLOR MEASUREMENT

PURPOSE:To easily and speedily measure a geological time by measuring the geological time by the color measurement. CONSTITUTION:A standard white sample is mounted on a sample cradle 2 to be measured and an electric signal form a photoelectric converting device 8 is inputted to the correction memory circuit of a color measuring instrument 15. Then a sample to be measured is mounted on the cradle 2, measuring light is guided in the device 8, and an input/output controller 16 performs measurement. The measured value is corrected by a correcting circuit 17 by using a correcting value stored in the circuit 18, a color arithmetic circuit 19 converts it into a color value, and a color display system converting circuit 20 converts it into color values of various display systems. A signal of the measured color value is sent to storage medium input/output device 24 and stored on a measurement result storage medium 26 through the operation of a basic program 28 on a storage medium 25 for control. The measurement result stored on the medium 25 is processed by an arithmetic circuit 34 for control according to a time arithmetic program 27 on the medium 25 to calculate a geological time value, which is stored on the medium 26. It is also displayed on a display device 31.
