TENNIS RACKET, ITS FRAME AND NETTING OF SAID FRAME WITH STRING

PURPOSE: To improve the mechanical strength of a tennis racket and its stability by connecting a head having a specific and high aspect ratio to a grip by linear beams which are in contact with high points of the head separated by the broad interval of the head. CONSTITUTION: In a tennis racket 10 provided with a tube frame 12 which is composed of a grip 16, a head 14, intermediate beams 18 between them, and a yoke 20 fixed to the bottom part of the head 14 and having an almost elliptical shape, a large axis 30 having the same length as a racket axis and a small axis 32 extending laterally to the large axis are provided in the head 14 and the dimensional ratio of the small axis 32 to the large axis 30 is set to approximately 0.9:1. The respective beams 18 of the frame 12 are so constituted as to be set to straight lines and extended equal to each other in the opposite direction so that the head 14 is supported by positions being separated from the axis by a broad interval. Strings 26 are stretched horizontally and vertically via the head 12 so that a racket face is formed.
