REMOVING DEVICE FOR THREAD CUTTING LIQUID IN THE THREAD CUTTING LINE FOR STEEL PIPE

PURPOSE:To surely remove the cutting liquid attached to a steel pipe thread part without the intervention of a man hand and to coat a rust preventive on the steel pipe thread part, by bringing a brush holding a rust preventive while rotating into contact with a rotating steel pipe thread part. CONSTITUTION:In a cutting liquid removing device, a steel pipe 12 is rotated by actuating rollers 32a, 32b, when it is moved onto the rotating rollers 32a, 32b from a thread cutting stage. Also a brush 34 is simultaneously rotated with the actuation of a motor 48 as well and brought into contact while rotating over the whole area of the thread part formed on the steel pipe 12 according to the rotation of the steel pipe 12. With this contact the cutting liquid stuck to the steel pipe thread part is removed and especially the cutting liquid stayed on the root of the thread also is removed sufficiently by the scraping action of the brush 34. The rust preventive fed in the case of the brush 34 passing through the rust preventive tank 56 inside is held on the brush 34 as well. Consequently the rust preventive is coated also over the whole steel pipe thread part body with the contact.
