POSTAL MATTER DELIVERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency and reliability of delivering postal matter registering work by preparing a register number table obtained by converting the contents of a delivery number and a bar code label attached to a registered postal matter into codes to be easily read out by a person at the time of forming a registering file. CONSTITUTION:At the time of preparing a registering file for undelivered/ unserviced postal matters, the contents of a register number 16 and a bar code label 14 attached to a registered postal matter 3 are converted into a number to be read out by a person and code to be read out by a machine and written in the register number table 5. When the undelivered/unserviced postal matter 3 concerned is delivered/serviced or transferred/returned, the delivery completion of the postal matter 3 is registered and managed by mechanically reading out the mechanically readable code 17 corresponding to the register number 16 of the postal matter 3. Consequently, the registering work of delivered postal matters can be highly efficiently executed and the reliability of the registering work can be improved.
